From an undated clipping: "Frank, as he was better known, died September 20, 1891. At the age of about nine years he was stricken with paralysis of the lower limbs (polio?) and for twenty-six years had been an invalid. "Being deprived of the use of his limbs did not deter him from reading, and he educated himself. He was a well-informed man and became very expert in the use of the needle and also with his chisel as sculptor". The article stated "burial in cemetery east of town", probably Lockport Cemetery
