Leroy G. COPLEN, 96, Grace Village, Winona Lake, formerly of Plymouth, died 7:20 a.m. Wednesday at his residence.

Born to Harvey and Bessie MIDDLETON COPLEN near Walnut in Marshall County, he married Glenn L. ROHRER on June 17, 1923 near Richland Center. She survives.

Mr. Coplen attended Argos High School and was a farmer. He worked for Artificial Insemenation of Marshall County Breeding Service and was an Edward J. Funk Seed Corn representative. He worked at American Breeders Service for five years in Carmel and was a member of the Argos Bible Church, formerly known as Argos Congregational Christian Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathryn Jean and husband Morris STEWART, Syracuse; one son, Carl and wife Betty COPLEN, Plymouth; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter Wayne and wife Ethel COPLEN, Argos.

He was preceded in death by one son, Everett Lowell COPLEN, two sisters, Vivian COPLEN and Irma CLAYBAUGH, and two brothers Nile [COPLEN] and Oris COPLEN.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with Rev. Glenn BYERS officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Brethren Cemetery, southeast of Argos. Friends may call 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Grace Village Health Care Memorial Fund.
