Burt Mustin

Actor. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was best known as a regular on "Leave It To Beaver" TV series 1957 to 1962, in the role as Gus the fireman. He graduated from the Pennsylvania Military College in 1903 with a degree in in civil engineering. 28 years later, he made his entry into show business working for the KDKA radio station in Pittsburgh. He made his big screen debut at age 67 in "The Last Outpost" (1951). He went on to have a very successful career on television, appearing in shows such as "The Adventures of Kit Carson", "Gunsmoke", "All in the Family", "Laugh In", "Dragnet", "Phyliss" and 14 episodes of "The Andy Griffith Show." He died at age 94 in Glendale, California.
