WASHINGTON TERRACE – Ruby Lucille Burbank Smith, 99, died Sunday, June 27, 2010 at her home in Washington Terrace.

She was born April 14, 1911 in Pine Coulee, Alberta, Canada, a daughter of Chester LeRoy and Hannah M. Larsen Burbank.

On September 7, 1947, Ruby married Arthur R. Smith Sr. in Evanston, Wyoming. Arthur preceded her in death on October 29, 1988.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Ruby retired from Hill Air Force Base following 29 years of service.

She was a member of the American Business Women's Association and was Woman of the Year in 1990. She was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and Retired Federal Women.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Arthur Ray Jr. (Vickie) Smith, Lee P. (Colleen) Morgan; Arla Morgan, Dela Morgan, 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is one sister, Mary Logan.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, Roy Burbank, Leslie Burbank, Joe Burbank, and one sister, Marcella Sparks.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family will meet friends at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
