Kamper, Ethel Mae (Benner) Went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2010; born July 22, 1916 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She began working at the age of 17 to help provide for the family. She worked as a freight transport router and at one time worked at the Pentagon. She came to Dallas in the early 1940's where she became involved in a Women's Business Club, which later became known as the "Cat Club", some of her dearest friends. She met Thomas Henry Kamper at an open dance for the USO. They married in April of 1945 and were married for 52 years. She was active in PTA, Garden Club and her church. She had a love for music and the arts and was devoted to her many friends and family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Tom. She is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, Thomas E. & Joanne Kamper, Richard D. & Gail Kamper; grandchildren Thomas E. Jr., Anne & husband Trey Fuller, Preston & fiancée Jen, Megan and Lauren; step-daughter Erlynn Cantwell, grandchildren (Erlynn's children) Guy, Don, Paul, David & Sarah- including spouses and several great and great-great grandchildren. Services will be Friday morning, July 2, 2010 at 10am Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church; 8525 Audelia Rd Dallas, TX. Visitation Thursday evening July 1, 5-8pm at Restland Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in the memory of Ethel Mae Kamper to the Presbyterian Children's Home 4407 Bee Cove Rd-Suite 520 Austin, TX 78746 or any children's charity of your choice.
