Services in Iowa for Roy Hartsock
Funeral services for Roy Hartsock, 80, were scheduled to be held in Sioux City, Iowa, late this week.
Mr. Hartsock died last Friday afternoon in the Bridge Motel, where he had spend most of the past five years.
His wife lives in Sioux City. Five children survive.
Mr. Hartsock was a retired vaudeville actor and frequently kept his friends entertained with his acting and dancing ability.
He also spent a lot of time tumbling rocks in a 250-pound tumbler that he designed and made.
Roy Hartsock is my grandfather. He married Lydia Alice Oviatt, on 8-15-1915 in Sioux City, IA. Lydia was born 12/ 31/1898 in Madrid IA. My father James B Hartsock was their son, he was born 02/29/1920 and passed away 09/03/1994 in Glendale AZ. Roys parents names were George Hartsock and Hannah Amanda Hartsock. please feel free to email me if you know more about my family.
