Nampa- Services for Dean V Wilson, 55, of 2000 E. Maryland Ave., Nampa, who died of natural causes Sunday in a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2pm. today in Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa, by Bishop Clyde R. Hill of Nampa 5th ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Garden, Caldwell.
He was born February 6, 1925 in St. Anthony. He was reared in St. Anthony and Caldwell, he was educated in Caldwell. He enlisted in the Navy in 1943 and served during World War II, he was wounded in 1945 and was honorably discharged. He attended North Idaho Junior Collage in Coeur d'Alene, where he learned to be a watchmaker and jeweler. He married Frances Randolph on February 6, 1954 in Caldwell they owned and operated Wilson Jewelers in Nampa until he retired in 1972. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Nampa, Nampa Moose No. 1430, Nampa & American Legion Post No 18 and was a past member of the Elk Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of Nampa; four sons Dean R Wilson and Charles R Schmidt both of Madras, Oregon, David N Wilson and Robert C Wilson both of Nampa; two daughters LeAnn Miller of Middleton and Becky Estell Winters of Salem Oregon; a mother Estella D Wilson of Caldwell; three brothers George R of Idaho Falls, Verdis M of Homedale, and Dr. Don B of Portland, Oregon; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa, today from 9am. to the time of services
Memorials may be made to the Idaho State School and Hospital for the therapeutic swimming pool
