One of City's Oldest Women Passes
Mrs. Elizabeth Chamberlin, one of the oldest women of the city of Hood River, passed away Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John a. Wilson, with whom she has been residing for the past 15 years. Mrs. Chamberlin celebrated her 91st birthday recently. She was born October 16, 1824, in Washington county, Pennsylvania. At the age of 18 years she was married to Washington Chamberlin, who preceded her to the grave.

In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Chamberlin is survived by three other children, Newton Chamberlin, of Yamhill, John Chamberlin, of Hobart Mills, Calif., and Lee Chamberlin, of Salt Lake, Utah.

Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at the Wilson home by Rev. W. F. Elkins, pastor of the First Christian church of Albany. Internment following at Idlewilde cemetery.

The funeral was directed by S. E. Bartmess.

A marker was erected for her (memorial 66618785) at Allerton Cemetery, Iowa where her husband is buried. Her date of death was not engraved on that marker and it just has her birth date.
