ROY MORFORD RITES WEDNESDAY
Services for ROY MORFORD, 74, will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Stone Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Cueni, of the First Christian Church, will officiate and interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. He died at his Resort Twp. home.
He was born April 7, 1900 in Resort Twp. on the family homestead and he attended Resort schools.
Mr. Morford was employed by the Blackmer Pump Co. and in 1925 moved to Grand Rapids with the company. He was employed by the company for 37-1/2 years until retirement in June 1963.
On April 11, 1925 he married FLORENCE BURGESS, in Chelsea, Mich. They returned to Resort Twp. to live in 1963.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, MRS. FRANCIS (EDITH) SCHMIT, of Petoskey; two grandsons; one great grandson; four brothers, ARLIE, GILBERT and KENNETH, all of Petoskey and IVOR, of Mesa, Arizona and one sister, MRS. LEAH DANSBY, of Titusville, Fla.
