Antietam, near Martinsburg, W.V.; 1 Jun 1862, Seven Pines, Va.; 1 Jul 1862, Malvern Hill, Va.; 17 Sep, 1862 Sharpsburg, M.D.; 26 Apr, 1863; 2 Jul 1863, Gettysburg, Pa.; 3 Jul 1863, Gettysburg, Pa.; 7 Jul 1863; 5 May 1864, Wilderness Va.; 10 May 1864, Spotsylvania Court House, Va.; 18 Jun 1864, Petersburg, Va.; 27 Jul 1864, Darbytown, Va.; 29 Sep 1864, New Market Heights, Va.; 7 Oct 1864

He married Mary Virginia Kennedy, they had the following
children, per 1900 Census;
1. Walter Eugene b. 1870
2. William Henry b. 1872
3. Sallie Eliza b. 1874
4. Oscar b. 1879
5. James b. 1882

After Mary V. died he married Lula Day Quarles, widow of Samuel Quarles. Do not know if they had children, have found no record. Lula is buried by first husband, Samuel Quarles.
