funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Assembly of God Church with Rev. George Royce, minister, officiating.
Music was by the church choir singing the following sons "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," and "The Old Rugged Cross."
Pallbearers were Julius Meaker, Jr., Julius Meaker, Sr., Gilbert Meaker, O.R. Meaker, Lee Roy Meaker and Vincent Meaker.
Burial was in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Poston Funeral Home of Panhandle.
Yardy [sic] was born March 12, 1866, in Pekin, Ill. He was married to Miss Annie Meaker, a sister of O. Meaker, June 30, 1891.
He lived in California and Oregon before moving to Texas in 1930. He had lived in Pampa previous to moving to Panhandle 3 years ago. He was a farmer, cafe man and candy maker before his retirement and was a member of the Four Square Gospel Church.
He was the father of two children, a daughter who died July 4, 1908, and a son who died July 4, 1931.
Survivors other than the widow are a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Violet Yardy [sic] and grandson, Robert Yardy [sic], both of Plainview; three sisters and a brother living in Milford, Neb.
