Burial was in Panhandle Cemetery Tuesday afternoon, January 7, following funeral services conducted at 2:00 o'clock at N.S. Griggs & Son Chapel, Amarillo, by Dr. Neil D. Cannon, pastor of Polk Street Methodist Church.
Mrs. Satterwhite was the daughter-in-law of Lee Satterwhite of Austin, former publisher of the Panhandle Herald and speaker of the Texas House of Representatives in the first administration of Mrs. Miriam A. Ferguson in 1925. Lee Satterwhite was unable to attend the funeral services because of travel hazards.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, Robert LeRoy of Pampa and Raymond and Johnnie of Amarillo; three brothers, John Mooney of Kansas City, and Robert and Raymond Mooney of Redondo Beach, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Charlotte McKee of Kansas city.
Several Panhandle residents, friends of the Satterwhite family, attended graveside services here and some were also in Amarillo.
Mrs. Leta Saunders of Boston, Texas, and Mrs. Mary Bess Van of Houston, sisters of LeRoy Satterwhite, were here for burial services.
Burial was in Panhandle cemetery by the side of a child of Mr. and Mrs. Satterwhite.
