Audrey Shaw White Willis departed this life June 21, 2010 at St. Joseph Proven Hospital in Elgin, Illinois after battling illness for the few last years. Audrey S. Willis was born February 5, 1938, in Memphis, TN, to the late Albert White Sr. and Essie Davis.

Audrey was reared and attended both private and public schools in East St. Louis. Audrey S. Willis moved to Decatur, IL in 1955 and attended New Salem Baptist Church. Audrey met and was united in marriage to Tommy Lee Willis for 54 years.

Audrey is survived by her husband; 7 children: Debra Willis, of Decatur, Keith Willis (Glenna Sears Willis) of Clinton, Lawania Krakarh (Assad Krakarh) of Decatur, Byron S. Willis (Darla Bradley Willis) of Springfield, Tracey Willis of Decatur, Xavier Willis of Decatur, Erica Willis Joyner (Floyd Kevin Joyner) of Decatur, and Nikki Willis (Corey Garder) of University City, MO. From her children she was blessed with 22 grand children and 16 great-grand children. Audrey's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were loved by her and they loved her completely. Audrey is also, survived by four sisters: Loretta Cain (Albert Cain) of Chicago, Rosie White Anderson (Keith Anderson) of Decatur, Kay Shaw of Dallas, TX, Sheila Shaw of Phoenix, AZ; eight brothers: Willie Ed (LaDonna) of Belleville, Ronald Shaw of Seattle, WA, Otis Shaw of Belize, Dino Shaw of Tucson, AZ, Larry Robbins of Decatur, Carl Robbins of Decatur, and Charles White of Decatur. Audrey is survived by a multitude of close family members, including: Whites, Browns, Shaw's, nieces and nephews Audrey S. Willis was a homemaker to her family until 1992.

Audrey worked at Livingview Center in Latham, IL and Eastside Terrance of Decatur working with the adult Developmental Disabled population for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Victor D. Shaw Willis and Gregory A. Willis; four brothers: Francis Pere' Shaw, Bruce Shaw, Robin Shaw all of Tucson, AZ, and Albert White, Jr. of Decatur; four sisters: Perrola Pebbles of East St. Louis, MO, Alice Wighelm Laitner of Tucson, AZ, Jonnie Shaw Karub of CA, and Sonja Shaw of Tucson, AZ.

Farewell and Tribute Service is pending at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Audrey is now on a journey to a new life.
