RAYMOND V. FRANCO, 76, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Parkview Hospital from heart failure complications. Born July 9, 1929, in British Columbia, Canada, he became a U.S. citizen after serving in the Korean War. He attended the University of Washington, and married Kathie Cavanaugh on July 25, 1953, in Seattle, Wash. They raised two daughters, Kristie and Kelli Franco, in California and Oregon. In recent years, he moved to Fort Wayne to be near family. Ray was surrounded by family at his time of death.
A diligent worker and faithful husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathie; daughter, Kelli Brandenberger; grandson, Cole; and granddaughter, Tara.
