Billy Dougherty Foster, 90, formerly of Richardson, TX, died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Hilltop Haven Nursing Home in Gunter, TX.

Billy was born on October 19, 1919, in Mena Arkansas, to Ord and Edith Barnett Dougherty.

The family moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas while she was a young child. She graduated from the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of the TriDelta sorority and was an Arkansas Beauty.

She married Theodore J. Schwink in 1942 and he preceded her in death April 24, 1943. She then married Herbert P. Foster in 1945 and he preceded her in death on February 27, 1998.

Billy was an accountant, specializing in financial forecasting for Texas Instruments. She lived in Dallas for fifty years and was a member of the Lake Highlands United Methodist Church and the Dallas Junior League. In October 2005 she moved to the Renaissance in Sherman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a daughter, Elizabeth Louise Foster, a brother Ord Dougherty, and a sister Dorothy Kennedy. She is survived by two sons, Ted Schwink and wife Judy of Pottsboro, TX and Presley Foster and wife Loretta of Austin, TX; four grandchildren: Elizabeth and husband Brent Eakins of Fairview, TX, John Schwink and wife Anna of Flower Mound, TX, Kevin Foster and wife Marie of Lone Tree, CO, and Sherri Wilson and husband Brandon of Caracas, Venezuela; nine great- grandchildren Parker Eakins, Laci Eakins, Austin Schwink, Rebekah Wilson, Emma Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Wyatt Foster, Cody Foster and Sadie Foster.

Billy professed Christ as Savior at an early age. Her family and friends will miss her loving, caring, humble spirit and her servant's heart.

Graveside services were held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2010, at Forest Park Cemetery in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
