Son of Frank & Appallona (Hunt) Bloomenshine.

Robert L. Bloomenshine, 74, of 3518 W. Capitol Drive died at 4:50 pm Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1993 at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Born Feb. 1, 1919, in Peoria to Frank and Lona Hunt Bloomenshine, he married Joan Kelly on Jan. 24, 1942, in St. Charles, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters and four grandchildren.
He earned at bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois in 1941. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was division manager of the machine order division at Caterpillar Inc., retiring in 1980.
He was a life member of Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria, where he served on the personnel and budget committees. He was a member of Mohammed Temple Shrine, and a veteran member of Dramads of the Shrine.
He was a 33rd degree member of Temple Masonic Lodge 46, AF&AM and was crowned honorary member of the Supreme Council, 33rd degree, in 1969. He was past most wise master of Rose Croix in 1966.
He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Services will be at 10 am Saturday at Cumerford-Endsley Memorial Home. The Rev. Dr. Gary L. Reif will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 tonight at the memorial home with a Masonic service at 5. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
