Eugene Allen, 76, of Chapel Street, Sherburne,and formerly of South Otselic, died Monday at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich.
He was born in Watertown. He and his wife owned and operated Otselic Valley Inn, South Otselic. He was a member of Perry Cook American Legion Post 973, South Otselic. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
His wife, Geraldine Allen, died in 1977.
Survivors: Four daughters, Beverly Marshall of Morrisville, Joanne Morgan of Lebanon, Deborah Parkhurst of South Otselic and Georgana Peptis of Sherburne; three sons, Jimmy of Norwich, Edward of Syracuse and Scott of South Otselic; four sisters, Altha Ott of Florida, Doris Pier of Jordan, Eleanor Oaks of Syracuse and Marion Collins of Binghamton; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Black Funeral Home. Burial, Valley View Cemetery. Calling hours, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 5736 Telephone Road Extension, Cincinnatus. A reception will follow the service at Perry Cook American Legion Post 973.
