Mrs. Myrtle Mills Abell, 84, widow of Albert Abell, died at 4 a.m. Saturday at Mary Immaculate Hospital where she was admitted Friday night at 10 o'clock after suffering a heart attack at her home at New Market. She had been under treatment for a heart ailment for two years. A daughter of Perry & Josephine Thomas Mills, long deceased, she was born in this county on March 14, 1871. Her marriage to Mr. Abell was solemnized on January 17, 1893 at Calvary. She since had resided at New Market. Her husband died many years ago. Two daughters, Mrs. Clifton Luckett, Calvary, & Sister Appolonia, Rockford, Ill., survive, & five sons. The latter are J.P. Abell, Cleveland; Leo Abell, Detroit; Vincent Abell, Marion County, & Albert, Jr., & Alphonsus Abell, at home. There are nine grandchildren & two great-grandchildren. The remains were at Bosley Funeral Home until the funeral services, which were conducted Monday at 9 a.m. by the Rev. C.L. Smith, at Holy Name of Mary Church, Calvary. Burial was in the church cemetery.
