Funeral services for Kathryn S. Cameron, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Faith Presbyterian Church, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Cameron, 98, died Jan. 28, 2012, at Silver Cross Home. She was born in Shubuta on March 23, 1913, to Mr. and Mrs. G.B. Slocumb. She lived in Shelby until age 16 when she moved to Brookhaven with her mother and siblings after the death of her father.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Brookhaven and a volunteer worker for the city in various capacities. She was a member of the DAR and a Life Master Member of her passion, the American Contract Bridge League.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 65 years, Julian R. Cameron Sr.; parents; and siblings, Annie Wilmoth Orme, Frank Slocumb and Eugene Slocumb.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Dale Linton, of Brookhaven; son, J.R. Cameron Jr., of Brookhaven; five grandchildren, Julie Wilcox and husband, Clifton, of Pensacola, Fla., Janie Clarke and husband, Stuart, of Jackson, Kelly Wood and husband, Guy, of Kingman, Ariz., Todd Cameron, of Alexandria, La., and Scott Cameron, of New York; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Faith Presbyterian Church Missions Fund, Belize Church Project, 400 Magee Drive, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
