Funeral services were conducted at the Hixson Brothers Chapel at 10 a.m., June 28, with Dr. W. L. Holcomb and Rev. J. L. Holt officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home.
Acting as pallbearers were W. D. Walker, Judge Jack Oglesby, Mayor D. C. Allen, Ottis Paul, J. D. Jones, and Harper Terrill.
Mrs. Harper was a life-long resident of Winn Parish and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Harkrider of Greenwood and Miss Maud Harper of Winnfield; one son, Blanchard Harper, Winnfield; one grandchild, and four great grandchildren.
She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Howard McCarty of Beech Creek, and Mrs. John Newsom, of Grayson.
