ASHEVILLE – Lee Allison Dawes, 80, of 47 Big Bear Trail, died Monday, June 28, 2010, at her home.
Mrs. Dawes was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Floss and Minnie Harwood Allison. She was the Director of the Flynn Christian Fellowship and was a member of Berea Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Riceville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Brinkley White and her husband, Odd White, of Asheville; a son, Stephen Brinkley of Asheville; two granddaughters, Emily White-Growden and husband, David, of Pittsburgh, PA and Rebekah Walters and husband, Michael, of Lenoir; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Bethel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Holmes officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
