–William "Bill" Isaac Busenbark, 81, passed away July 3, 2004 in Holladay, Utah after a gallant fight with pancreatic cancer.
Bill was born April 2, 1923, to John Busenbark and Maggie Jamieson, in Torrey, Utah. He married Beth "J" Syme, April 27, 1951, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Leland, Tom, Owen, Edward, and George and also by his sisters: Genevieve Callahan, Adaline Elswood, Virginia Neerings, Lathella Nielsen, and Ramona Higham.
He is survived by his beautiful wife Beth, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert L. Marsh, Sr. and Lavon S. Marsh, and nieces and nephews, too many to be numbered.
Bill was a veteran of World War II. He joined the Navy at age seventeen and served for four years in the South Pacific. Bill was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He fulfilled many callings: Stake Missionary, Elder's Quorum President (with Beth at his side), and many others in conjunction with his wife including Temple Preparation Teachers, Teacher Development, and Sunday School Presidency.
Bill worked for EIMCO Corporation after attending the University of Utah and then for Kennecott Corporation at the smelter and mine as an engineer.
Bill's greatest joys were people, especially all his nieces and nephews. He had a great love for horses, the outdoors, hunting, skiing, fishing, and exploring the Boulder Mountains and deserts in his jeep. He loved his heritage in Grover, Utah. Bills greatest love and joy was Beth, his wife and companion of 53 years.
A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday evening, July 7, 2004, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway. The funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2004, 10:00
am. at the Murray Stake Center,
160 E. 4600 South. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services.
