Shirley, 90, of Lansing, passed away Monday. She was born to Irene & Robert Pennell.
Shirley has been a Free Methodist since she was 14, and was the first one in her family to graduate from High School. She was a CPA and a tax preparer until age 90. She taught adult Sunday school, was a member of the Red Hat Society, and was very active in her Edgewood Retirement Center.
Preceding Shirley in death were her parents and six brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her daughter, Roxanne Irene Cavender; sons Gary Joel Cousins, Michael Francis Cousins, Timothy James Cousins, David Leroy Cousins; 22 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services took place Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Tiffany Funeral Home, Lansing.
