PIONEER RANCHER SUCCUMBS AT 81 Santa Fe, March 3--A pioneer rancher, John Perry Jennings, who came to New Mexico 62 years ago, died of a heart attack here yesterday. He was 81.
Jennings had lived in Eddy County while it was still a part of historic Lincoln County, and later had interests in Quay County. He retired a little more than a year ago and moved to Santa Fe to make his home with a daughter, Mrs. W.L. McDonald.
He also leaves another daughter, Mrs. Annie Belle Larremore, Florence, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. J.E. Dunaway, and 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services were arranged for 4 p.m. today at Memorial Chapel. The body will be taken to Panhandle, Tex., for burial.
