Donald R. Tunin, 84, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 26, 2010. Born on Sept. 26, 1925 in Kingman, IN to the late Cecil R. & Bessie (Arvin) Tunin, he was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II & a 1952 graduate of Indiana State University. He worked at Eli Lilly for 35 years as a microbiologist, retiring in 1986. An avid golfer & fisherman, he was a longtime member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Dolores (Martin) Tunin, his children, Donna J. Tunin & Thomas L. Tunin; brother, Richard L. Tunin (Carolyn) of Crawfordsville, IN. and two sisters, Nancy Worley (Harold) of East Lyme, CT. & Carole Pendleton of Crawfordsville, IN. and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be from 11-1:00 pm on Thursday, July 1 at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, State Road 135 & Olive Branch Road, followed by the funeral service conducted at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
