Nancy was born 14 Apr 1759 in Franklin, VA.

She married James Smith Bell on 29 Apr 1823 in Knox County, TN and was his second wife after his first wife Jane Jenny Bell died in 1820. Nancy was 34 when she married James.

They had the following children:

John Smith Bell (1827-1921)
Mary Ann Bell (1828-1896)
Francis Marion Bell (1829-1900)
Nancy Evaline Bell (1832-1911)

Nancy died on 4 Feb 1853 in Knox County at the age of 63 and was buried in Bell's Campground Cemetery.
