Connie M. Walton, 76, long-time resident of Austin, passed away Monday, October 20, 2008. Connie was born October 2, 1932, in Korea. In 1969, she moved to Hawaii, where she met her husband, Bob, and they were married October 18, 1978. Connie and Bob later moved to Austin in 1984, where they opened Mail and Parcel Services in Brodie Oaks. She was also a member of Austin Korean Presbyterian Church for eight years. Connie will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 30 years, Bob Walton; sister, Yicha Yi, of Hawaii; daughter, Linda Takenaka, of Austin; and son, Fred Morrison, of Austin; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2008, in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Reverend Jong Min Lee officiating. Interment will follow services at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
