Michael Barnette, 66, of Bozeman, Montana passed away from natural causes on June 21, 2010.

He was born December 8, 1943 in Clay, West Virginia, to Ralph LeRoy and Bernice Julia Wooddell Barnette.

"Mike" was raised in Virginia and graduated from John S. Mosby High school in Front Royal, Virginia. He attended Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia for two years.

Mike was a dreamer and free spirit. After working many years in the car business in Northern Virginia and Ocean City, Maryland, he found his way to Montana, where he opened Smart Wheels in Belgrade, Montana.

Mike was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He also enjoyed watching horse races with his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie; and a nephew, Dennis Mack Bellinger.

He is survived by a sister, Jimmie Sue (Dennis) Fullinwider; nephews, Eric, Jamie and Jeb Fullinwider; and a niece, Heather Carter Devine. He is also survived by eleven grand-nieces and nephews, many friends in Montana, Maryland, and Virginia and special friends; Dennis and Lanny Spencer; in West Virginia.

Cremation has taken place with burial of his urn in the Bennett Chapel Cemetery in Front Royal, Virginia.
