Norway - Bertie Lee Davis Adams, 80, died Saturday at her residence. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today in Calvary Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Thompson Funeral Home of Orangeburg, will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Adams was born in Pinehill, a daughter of Pinckney Davis and Texanna Hayden Davis. She was an active member of Calvary Church and was the widow of Bailey D. Adams. Surviving are 10 sons, David Adams of Norway, George W. Adams of Santee, Cebie Adams of Warrenville, Kenneth Adams of Aiken, Charles T. Adams and Jimmy Adams, both of Orangeburg, Richard Adams of Leesville, Cecil Adams of North, Gene Adams of Springfield and Roger Adams of Concord, N.C.; four daughters, Mary F. Hall of Orangeburg, Marjorie Smith of Neeses, Vernetta Willis of Locust, N.C., and Sandra Davis of Bamberg; four sisters, Hallie Fanning of Neeses, Karine Perry of Ridgeway, Mollie Garrick of Harrisburg, Pa., and Ella Amaker of North; 35 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. © The Post and Courier, Charleston, SC, 12 Dec 1994
