Born in Eastern Virginia, Served War 1812 in 1814 at Fort Norfolk, Norfolk, VA; Moved from Pattensburg, Botetourt co., VA to Harrision Co, VA 1830-40 and purchased War Bounty Land. Joseph Nichel's Cemetery is in a stand of trees on cattle land. Grave stone of Reuben and Elizabeth are laying flat on ground. All other stones half buried or broken.
