Col. John Elliott Kempthorne, U.S. Army (Retired), of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Cleveland and Avon Lake, Ohio, Nov. 7, 1923-June 18, 2010.

Passed in peace and with grace at home and is now reunited with his darling wife, Dorothy, and his beloved son, Thomas Robert, who passed July 31, 2003 and Sept. 10, 1977, respectively.

Those left standing with feet firmly planted are his beloved son and wife, Phil and Dawn (of Houston, TX), and his daughter Pamela (of Phoenix, AZ).

He was an officer, a true gentleman, and a wonderful father and best friend.

Burial at Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville, OH, with full military honors.
