Norman, who resided at 622 West Thirty-First Street, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a 2nd Lieutenant and Navigator on B-24 (#42-7730), 718th Bomber Squadron, 449th Bomber Group, Fifteenth Air Force, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He was "Killed In Action" when his B-24 was downed by fighters over Udine, Italy during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
He had served in the Air Force for one year and three months at the time of his death and was decorated with an Air Medal and Purple Heart.
