ERVIN GUISE DIES ON SUNDAY

Complication Occurring Following Pneumonia Causes Death

Ervin Mahlon Guise, 42, tenent farmer on the Oyler and Spangler farm, east of Gettysburg, died at the Warner Hospital at 7:15 o'clock, Sunday evening. He was taken ill two weeks ago, suffering from pneumonia, and was removed to the hospital a week ago.
He was apparently recovering from pneumonia when acute cardiac dilation, a heart condition, caused death.
He was born in Tyrone township, a son of the late John E. Guise, and lived there the greater part of his life. Since April 1. 1931, he resided on the Oyler and Spangler farm.
Surviving are his widow, whose maiden name was Miss Mary Alice Beamer; his step mother, Mrs. Alice Guise, Knoxyln; two sons, Harman and Lawrence Guise, both at home; two brothers, Wilson Guise, Aspers and Howard Guise, Biglerville; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Bricker, Aspers and Mrs. Wilmer Lady, Mcknightstown, and three half brothers, Clair and Roy Guise, Aspers, and Raymond Guise, Knoxyln.
Brief funeral services fron his home Wednesday morning at 9:15 o'clock with further services in Bender's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Henry W. Sternat officiating. Interment in the cemetery adjoinging the church.
