COLUMBUS – Amy Margaret Erickson passed away as a result of leukemia on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Kobacker House in Columbus.

She was born in Youngstown June 27, 1949.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Gessner Erickson and Walter Martin Gessner; and her uncle, John Franklin Gessner.

She is survived by her brother, David Howard Erickson; aunts Evelyn Ensign Gessner and Martha Gessner James; and her uncle, William Thomas James II. She is also survived by William Thomas James III (Deborah), Peter Gessner James (Christine), Molly James Oschner (Ronald) and George Edward Gessner and their children.

Amy was a graduate of Boardman High School and Miami University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Amy was a member of Central Christian Church in Newark.

She was employed by Ohio Health Corporation and was a member of the board of trustees of the Friends of the Upper Arlington Public Library.

Family will receive visitors on Saturday, May 22, 2010, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road in Columbus.

A graveside services will be held at Lake Park Cemetery in Boardman at a date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to HomeReach Hospice, c/o Ohio Health Foundation, 180 East Broad Street, 31st Floor, Columbus, OH 43215.
