According to the passenger list of the S.S. Contr??t he and his wife Kezia came from England in 1911. They apparently came to visit family. He was a gardner in England. His wife was 65 in 1911.
Buried in the Mount Royal Cemetery on June 30, 1923. E.A. Curdy was the minister officiating for C.S. Joyce. One of the witnesses to the burial was Arthur Blackwell. Sydney was a member of the Montreal Seventh-day Adventist Church.
