Christina was the daughter of Anders Arfvidsson and Anna Stina Bryngelsdotter. She was born in Geserud, Habol Parish, Dalsland, Sweden. She worked as a maid a Bligan, Steneby Parish, where she probably met Lars, who was the son of a local farm owner. They were married July 22, 1874 at Habol Church.
Four of their children, John, Charles Oscar, Arthur Otto, and Irma Helma, were born in Sweden. Lars emigrated to Minnesota in 1881, Christina and the 4 children joined him the next year. Their other 4 children were born in Minnesota: Ina, Emma, Albert and Adolph.
Christina died at the age of 39 in Gull River, Cass County, Minnesota. It's been reported that she died of a ruptured appendix.
