Floyd Marshall Funeral Services To Be Thursday
Funeral services for Floyd Marshall will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist church with Rev. Bill Dickover, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Carnegie cemetery with Pitcher Funeral Home in charge. Military rites will be presented at the graveside.
Marshall, a retired farmer of this area, died at 10:25 Monday morning at a convalescent home in Oklahoma City after a long illness. He had spent three weeks in the Veterans hospital entering March 14 and then was moved to the nursing home.
Native of Arkansas, he was born November 8, 1893, in Boone County near Harrison. He came to this area when about nine years old. He was married November 14, 1927, to Ethel Langford at Oklahoma City.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the local First Baptist church. He was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter.
