Mr. O'Hearn died at 10:55 a.m. Friday, Jan 16, at the nursing home.
A son of William and Hanna Welch O'Hearn, he was born Dec. 23, 1885, in Mercer County. He attended local Keithsburg schools.
In 1908, he married Katherine Doud. She died in 1935. He married Florence Barr in 1942 and she died in 1967.
All of his life was spent in Mercer County, where he farmed for a few years, and later was employed as custodian of the former Roosevelt Military Academy, Aledo, for 37 years. He retired in 1957.
Surviving are a son, Ovid W. of Aledo; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Quinn of Galesburg, and Mrs. Wayne L. Smith of Macomb; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his wives, were four sisters, seven brothers and a grandson.
