Miss Vernie Geiger, 86, Hepler, died at the Girard Kansas Hospital on Friday. She had been in failing health.
Miss Geiger was born in Douglas County, Kansas, the daughter of George M. and Mary Louise Hardterfer Geiger, She had lived in the Hepler area most of her life.
Surviving are three brothers; Solon W. Geiger of Fort Scott, Wayne Geiger of Walnut and Jay Geiger, address unknown; two sisters Ruth Christensen of Hepler, and Mary Williams of Uniontown six nephews and six nieces.
Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery.
