Moved from Potter's Field to the Forest Hill, according to article in the Utica Daily Observer, April 11, 1902:

"...Removal of Bodies to the Regular Cemeteries...The arrangements for observance of Memorial Day are progressing in the hands of the joint committee from the Grand Army organizations and the Mayor. It is the intention to make the [illegible word] this year somewhat more elaborate than in recent years past, because of the reinterment in the soldiers' plot at Forest Hill and St. Joseph's Cemetery of about 50 bodies of soldiers that are now resting in the practically abandoned Potter's Field and old St. Joseph's Cemetery. The work of removing the bodies will be completed in about [?] weeks. ... Judge Dunmore yesterday granted the necessary order as provided by the law which will permit the removal of the remains of old soldiers from the Potter's Field and the old St. Joseph's Cemetery to the soldiers' plots in Forest Hill and St. Joseph's Cemetery. The order was granted upon the application of Risley and Love. It is returnable before Judge Dunmore April 26 at 10 A.M. and then anyone who objects to the removal of any bodies will be heard. The old soldiers, whose remains will be removed according to the law, are: From Potter's Field ... Philip Herrnecker, Co. C, 14th N.Y. Vols. ..."
