R. Leslie "Buckwheat" Gardner, 42, Pattonsburg, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at a Cameron, MO hospital.
He was born March 15, 1968 in Bethany, Missouri, the son of Ronald and Donna (Woodring) Gardner.
He was a dozier operator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pattonsburg, MO. Buckwheat was very active in the Pattonsburg Lions Club and served as President. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Winston, MO and was the Softball Coach at Pattonsburg High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgil and Helen Gardner and Arnold "Sweede" and Kaye Woodring.
Survivors include his parents, Ronald "Flap" and Donna Gardner, Pattonsburg, MO; 3 sisters, Lisa (Ted) Meadows, Hannibal, MO, Laura Gardner & Travis Moore, Wittmann, AZ, and Linda Adler, Bethany, MO; 3 nephews, Tony Meadows, Clark Adler, and Payton Adler; and a niece, Sunnie Adler.

Visitation: Sunday June 27, 2010, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO
Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral Service: Monday June 28, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church
