Daughter of Thomas and Iowa Teter Kerr, she was born November 28, 1892, near Luray, Missouri. Mrs. Benda was a member of the Methodist Church.
On September 28, 1913 she married Charles Benda, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Edna Mae Smith, Exeter and Mrs. Ruth Sandy of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers, Joe and Charles Kerr, both of Luray; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Derksen of Granger, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Karle-Shaffer Funeral Funeral Home in Kahoka with the Rev. Homer Steinhardt officiating.
Burial was in Combs Cemetery at Luray.
Pallbearers were Charles R. Kerr, Leslie Kerr, Thomas Kerr, Joe Kerr, Robert Smith, and Wayne Sandy.
Vocalist was Mrs. Janet Fountain and accompanist Wanda Short.
