Euphemia Priscilla Adams , 96, passed away August 9th at Woodhaven Nursing Home in Ellinwood. Born Euphemia Priscilla Senecal on October 8, 1890, in Zurich, Kansas, she married Oscar Paul Adams on June 25, 1918, at Zurich. He died July 31, 1959. A homemaker, she was a resident of Claflin since 1970, moving from Plainville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Claflin, and the St. Anne's Altar Society, also of Claflin.

Mrs. Adams was survived by two sons, John of Atwood and Francis of Great Bend; six daughters, Margaret Treadwell of Elma, Washington, Theresa Meis of Oakley, Romona Abra of Puyallup, Washington, Pauline Kaiser and Veronica Oberle, both of Claflin, Rita Mae Hall of Federal Way, Washington; sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Kaifer of San Bernardino, California, Sr. Mary Natali Senecal and Mrs. Mary Frieze both of Omaha, Nebraska, Sr. Mary Lucien Senecal of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Mrs. Jean Delphia of Denver; 35 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.

Friends called on Monday at the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington. A Family Rosary was held at the funeral home on Monday evening, where the Rosary said by the Altar Society and the Parish on Tuesday evening. The funeral was held on Wednesday morning at Immaculate Conception Church in Claflin. Burial followed in Plainville Cemetery in Plainville. Memorials were suggested to the Claflin Ambulance Service.
