Mrs. Arn was born Phoebe Antrim, daughter of William and Sarah Antrim in Ill and came with her parents when a girl to Elberon, Iowa community. The Antrim was a farmer over in Benton County. She married N. K. Shugart of Elberon. Mr. Shugart, son of the pioneer, Levis Shugart, N. K. was a druggist in Elberon many years. He died in 1920, they were the parents of seven sons: Guy, Lloyd, Ray, Myron, John and Lyman.
Phoebe moved to California after her husband death there she married a Arn, who died seven years ago.
She was a member of Elberon Methodist church, Morning star Rebekah Lodge and the Eastern Star Order∼Other children include:
Harold W., Ray E., and Lloyd
