COLEMAN - Auzzie Dee Brown, 39 of Rt. 2, Cross Plains, died Monday. Last rites were to held today at 3 p.m. at Burkett Methodist Church. Rev. J. W. Tickner was to officiate. Burial was to be in Burkett Cemetery. He had lived near Cross Plains nearly all his life. born Jan. 11, 1918 near Burkett, he was a farmer. He was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Donna Kay Brown; four brothers, James of Buffalo Gap, Franklin of Jal, N.M., N. M. Melvin of Eastland, and Lee of Coleman; five sisters, Mrs. Blanche Hounshell of Cross Plains, Mrs. Tennessee Purcell of Grosvenor, Miss., Clara Brown of Artlesa, N. M., Mrs. Virgil Hill of Brownwood and Mrs. Lucille Morgan of Burkett, and his mother, Mrs. Lille A. Brown of Burkett. Stevens Funeral Home of Coleman was in charge of arrangements.
