MAYFIELD, Ky., Aug. 21--Mrs. Ruth Sutherland, 47, died at 12:15 a.m. today at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
Mrs. Sutherland had been employed by the hospital as a nurse for only three weeks. She had been ill for a week.
Survivors include a son, Michael Sutherland, Erie, Pa.; her mother, Mrs. Mae Carrico, Fancy Farm; a brother, Bob Carrico, Cincinnati, and three sisters, Sister Lenora, Leitchfield, Mrs. Paul Elliott, Fancv Farm, and Mrs. James L. Willett, Benton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Jerome Catholic Church at Fancy Farm with the Rev. Charles DeNardi officiating. Burial will be in St. Jerome Cemetery.
Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Roberts Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home.
