She was born in Wallace, NC, September 4, 1907, the daughter of the late Luke Wright and Marjorie Carter Boney. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Foyles, her son-in-law, Anthony D. Cuzzocrea, and her brother Luke Wright Boney, Jr.
Mrs. Foyles was a member of First Baptist Church of Wilmington. She was a graduate of Meredith College and taught in the New Hanover County Public Schools for a number of years.
She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Foyles Cuzzocrea, her grandchildren; Annette O?Hara and husband Dan of Redding, CT, Maria Burke and husband Clarence of Alexandria, VA, Demetrio Cuzzocrea and fiance? Beth Morgan of Sherman Oaks, CA, and John Cuzzocrea of New York, NY, also five great grandchildren; Alexandra, Luke, and Ryan O?Hara, and Anthony and Marjorie Burke.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September13, 2004, in the First Baptist Church by Rev. Jim Everett and Dr. Frank Hawkins. Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
