Leonard "V" Todd, age 72, passed away at his home on June 23, 2010.

He was born March 27, 1938 in Granger, Utah to Kenneth C. Todd and Gertrude A. Viehweg.

He was a graduate of Cyprus High School, and a retired Salt Lake City Police Officer. Leonard married Nancy Lee Skidmore on June 4, 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He raised his family in the Canyon Rim area of the Salt Lake Valley, moving to Murray, Utah in 1996.

Leonard had a "Tough Guy" demeanor, yet those who truly knew him knew it hid a huge heart! He loved many things, the Lord, his family, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, reading scriptures, country roads, good music, buffalo, and trains. His favorite jobs were a Gandy Dancer at Kennecott Copper and a cowboy on Antelope Island.

Leonard was a man who lived much of his life serving others. Serving his family as a youth running the family farm, serving in the US Army Reserves, serving the public as a police officer for twenty-five years, serving in his ward and community in many different LDS Church callings, and most importantly serving the Lord on three different LDS Church missions, and many years as a Temple Ordinance Worker in the Salt Lake and Jordan River Temples. He served in the Southern States mission from 1958-1960, a Service Mission with his wife on a cattle ranch n Pawhuska, OK from 1993-1994, and a Temple Mission with his wife to Atlanta, GA from 1997-1999.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Shane (Aliesha) Todd, and their son Kyle; daughter-in-law, Jacque Todd, and her children Hunter Christian, Austin Anne, Mariah Jane, and Adalyn Rose. His brothers: Jay (Janet) Todd, Val-Ray (Vickie) Todd; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and outlaws. Leonard is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jenny Lea; son, Dallas Leonard; and many in-laws and outlaws.
