Ralph L. Croy Dies: Long Ill
Ralph Leonard Croy, 61, died in his home 1518 1/2 Broadway, Sunday at 9:50 p.m. He had been ill since May. Death was due to cancer.
Funeral services will be held in the Johnstown Baptist church Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Janesville Cemetery.
The body will be taken to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Everett Strong, 3120 Shelby Ave., Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Croy was born near Toledo, Oct. 24, 1891, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Croy. He married Della Grace Boruff, Lerna, March 31, 1912. They lived on a farm near Lerna until they moved to Mattoon four months ago. He had worked in the stock room at the Kuehne Mfg. Co. until he bcame ill last spring.
Besides his daughter and wife, Mr. Croy is survived by five sons, Edgar, and Robert, Trilla, Donald and Ivan, Mattoon, and Rodger at home; two other daughters, Mrs. Chauncey Michaels and Mrs. Vernon Hatfield, Mattoon, and 11 grandchildren.
He is also survived by three brothers, Joe, Toledo, John, Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Hugh, Mattoon; and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Strong, Neoga and Mrs. Emery Cooley, Mattoon.
He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist church at Johnstown.
