Brian is the son of Robert L. Zimmerman (he survives) and Vesta Zimmerman (unknown.) Ruth Ann Zimmerman is his step-mother (she survives.) He is survived by Jeffrey L. Zimmerman, Kaye L. Zimmerman Holthaus, and Duane L. Zimmerman. He is also survived by half-brother Anthony (Tony) L. Zimmerman and half-sister Sandra L. Zimmerman Carter. Survivors in the home also include step-brother William D. Akard and step-sisters Donna D. Akard Lambrecht and Bobbie J. Akard Golder. Brian was cremated and will be interred in rural Steward Cemetery near Hoyt, KS.

Brian Zimmerman, 57, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away June 11, 2010, from an auto related accident. He was formerly of Hoyt, KS.
He was born in Council Grove, KS, May 21, 1953, to Robert L. and Ruth Ann Zimmerman.
Brian worked for Wacken Hut Security Corp. and the Tempe, AZ Police Dept. Prior to that he served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from the Kansas Air National Guard.
He is survived by his parents of Topeka, KS; four brothers, five sisters, three children and six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m.Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church, 4211 NW Topeka Blv., Topeka.
